Felting! With Barbara Chapman
October 26 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm$80
Felting! Felt is a textile material that is produced by matting, condensing and pressing fibres together with either water or with a special tool known as a felting needle. Felt can be made of natural fibres such as wool or animal fur, or from synthetic fibres such as petroleum based acrylic or acrylonitrile or wood pulp based rayon. Blended fibres are also common.
In this workshop you will learn step by step how to create simple landscapes and florals with natural wool fibres and a felting needle.
You are welcome to invite friends to this fun and relaxing event. This may become a favourite winter activity!
Barbara will use various teaching techniques including samples, demos and discussions.
Feel free to bring your own questions and some printed photos if you wish for a casual Q and A at the end.
