Learn the ancient art of painting Easter Eggs– a beautiful and meditative practice. Pysanky, as these eggs are known in Ukrainian, are made using the wax-resist “batik” method, in which designs are drawn or written onto the egg with beeswax, and then submerged in a series of dyebaths. Pysanky are often very intricate and include layers of meaning, imbued with symbols of protection and goodwill.

Experienced instructor Daria will guide you through all the steps of transforming a plain egg into a work of art. Just don’t drop it!

Beginners welcome. Experienced artists can try new styles and challenges as there is an advanced workshop later in the day.

All materials will be provided (eggs, stylus, dyes, wax…)

This is a popular event at Easter Time. Book early to avoid disappointment.
